Windows 10: Wi-fi keeps shutting down and PC wont fully power off

I had this issue before and starting my PC from 0 worked for a while, but then it came back.

    It goes like this:

    - If lucky, my PC will run normally for a few minutes or hours, but after a while the wi-fi will go off and no matter what I do it doesnt come back.
    - Most worrisome is that if I disconnect my wi-fi adapter (a TP-link Usb 3.0 Wifi Dual Band 5g Ac1200 Archer T4u) or any other USB and try to plug it back, my USB ports wont respond and nothing else happens.
    - Trying to disable devices from the device admin causes the "not working" status and forces me to close the window to stop it.
    - If I try to shut the whole PC off, my screen goes black and my tower doesnt power off at all. It keeps going until I press down the power button and then and only then it powers off fully.

My windows version is 10 pro x64 bits, version 1903.

Also: I can see an orange light inside my PC that keeps going on and off at all times.

What can I do to stop this problem?

Hi, suggest you try to distinguish between this being hardware or software.

Boot your PC from a live boot disk such as Kyhi's or Bob Omb's.
(Google those, download the iso file and then use instructions such as the relevant parts of these:
Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10
    )
to create a bootable flash disk (but using the downloaded live boot iso file of course).

If you know how to boot from a flash disk (differs a little from manufacturer to manufacturer) your PC will boot from that disk alone into a familiar Win 10 environment with programs available.

Once booted, leave for 'long enough' to see if you experience the same problem.

If not, the problem most probably lies in your Win 10 installation.
If you do, it's most likely a hardware problem.

Your MBO seems to be from around 2018, is that correct?

Is it the power LED pulsing on and off? If so, that indicates that you have put the PC to Sleep rather than shut it down.

If the led is inside the PC, possibly near the power supply, then it could just indicate that the PC is shut down properly, but the power supply is in standby mode and ready to respond to you pressing the power button. These days power buttons are generally a software switch rather than a physical switch that cuts off the mains power.

Yes, April of 2018. I tried this solution and I've been working normally for a few hours but the USB wi-fi died on me yet again.

Im sure I select the shudown option each time. The light is inside the PC, behind the CPU spot it seems or very close to it. The power bank is around that area too. It never stops blinking.

Sounds like it's to indicate that the power supply is in stand-by mode. If so it should stop if you disconnect the mains lead, and would start again when you plug it back in.

If your WiFi is a USB dongle then replace it, see if that resolves the problem. Buy it from Amazon or any place you can return it so if it turns out not to be the problem you can send it back.

Is it plugged into a USB 2 or USB 3 port? If USB 3, try USB 2.

Make sure you have disabled to setting that allows the system to turn off power to it in Device Manager.

Im not too concerned about the pc not shutting down normally, it only happens when the wi-fi problem comes up. The main thing is that whole deal: the wi-fi goes out, i cant fix it and if I dare to unplug the wi-fi adapter, the USB port stops working. This leads to me shutting down the PC and then it never powers off.

I made a test: when the wi-fi went off just now, I unpluged other USB things like the keyboard and mouse. They all wont work on any USB port if I try to plug them back in. I can see the USB ports are powered by looking at the lights they have on, but they are not working and they wont come back unless I shutdown the PC.

I replaced it and same problem, if not even worse.

I changed the USB port to all of the ones I have and it keeps happening.

I disabled the power off option with all ports and the wi-fi adapter in particular.

So far nothing has worked. It just keeps on shutting off and today in particular has gone mad. Just as I was replying to this post the wi-fi just wasnt coming back, even when I restarted the pc and all.

Also, what versions is the TP-Link WiFi adapter? What driver is installed to support it?

I searched for the bios version and it says something like American Megatrends Inc. 0803, 20/6/2018.
