    Easy Network and Sharing setup?

Since XP and beyond, until Windows 10, turn on Network discovery and sharing was so easy!

Why is it so hard to do now? Many hoops to jump through, just to find out you still don't have access to a second or third computer on your private network.

It would be nice to have a button to push... script? Download?

Agreed. I've given up on networking/sharing - I just share/move files around through OneDrive, now.

Maybe it's a conspiracy to shift users onto OneDrive ... ?

it seems to me that network sharing is even more difficult when there is cohabitation of different versions of windows (pro and home version)

We have to shout, scream, yell, bark for Microsoft to hear our wish...
Asking nicely, it's been tried for centuries and it never worked.

(my apologies for my bad English, I'm French-speaking)

Option 4 in this write up. ( not a script but a command you could likely work with)

I'm OCD on this problem!.... I can ping both computers and my router. I'm using Google drive and zipping folders to share, but this is not the way it should be

If you are still not seeing devices reset your network. Will lose WiFi passwords and may have to install VPN again, if you have.

    Have you tried mapping drives?

It's weird for me. On my computers I am seeing a newly added printer, but i cannot see other computers. Both running Win10. Both have discovery on and everything set to share. Even rebooted. Still do not show up on either computer
