    Intermittent connection to internet on laptop?

    I have a laptop that has just had a clean install of Windows 10 1909, it connects to the internet via a router that runs on my desktop PC, the laptop runs wireless. I have 2 other laptops that are also wireless and work without a problem, but this laptop connects and runs for a while then for no reason I can find, it disconnects and I have to re-connect it again, then it will stay connected for half an hour or so, then disconnect again?
    I cannot find the cause and the Windows trouble shooters cannot find a problem with the connection?

    Any ideas why this is happening? The internet connection was perfect before the clean install of Windows?

    Check the properties of the adapter, is it set to go to sleep to save power?

    Are you using Fast Startup in Advanced Power Options, disable hibernation by command line to disable.

    No to both questions. The disconnect problem is random and easily corrected (for a time) by re-connecting.

    @Willabong -

    1) Have you gone into Internet & Network, delete all network connections and and cleanly uninstall all LAN drivers via Conrtrol Panel and Device Manager? Then reboot and allow W10 to reinstall them.
    2) Do you know what chip the Wi-Fi-Radio is using? After that, see if there is a LAN driver update for that specific radio. Go to the Laptop vendor support page for that model.
    3) Have you power-cycled the router and see if there is a firmware update?

    Because of the help you two have provided, I tried your various fixes ... And out of the blue SKY the company my phone is connected by, sent me an urgent message saying that my phone line was experiencing problems and that it was linked to my filter not working. Thankfully I had a spare, so I changed the line filter and everything seems to be back to normal with no drop outs.
    So thanks for the help from both of you.
