Well I reinstalled and the problem persists. Now I am thinking that the port is faulty but the timing is so weird
I am using on board lan. No yellow marks there -

That is just because I did a reinstall and didn't install all the drivers. The yellow sign wasn't there in the previous installation
Edit: the image was supposed to show up here but for some reason it isn't working. Must be because I'm on mobile. Here is the imgur link https://i.imgur.com/3g8u0cs.jpg
There is a very weird thing happening now. A couple of times a day, the internet would come back for like 5-10 seconds. The light on the router also stops blinking and stays put. You might ask how I am able to spot this short event. Well whenever this happens, the windows update service tries to download updates and then fails as internet goes away. Anyways I'm still now way closer to fixing the issue. I have a spare motherboard in the garage, I think I'll just use that instead. It's an upgrade anyway
25th October EDIT: I used the spare motherboard and it works fine. One thing I realized now was that the lights next to the LAN port are lighting up this time. I feel like network part of the old motherboard is dead but the timing of it all is instilling doubt. Anyways, I'll update once more because I'll probably buy a Wifi card to make the old motherboard useful again (I needed to build another PC anyway)
