Laptop does not see PC in network, Pc sees laptop but has no access it

    Hello,
I have tried to solve this problem now since I got a new laptop, that's nearly a year now.
One laptop has now Windows Home 1903, all updates, connected via Wifi to the network. One PC with Windows 10 pro 1903 all updates, connected via a cable to the network.
I have checked all the things also mentioned in the link:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...ring-center-in
    but:
    1. My laptop does not even see my PC
    2. The PC sees the laptop but has no access to it.
    Desperate

    Please advise

    Hi

SMB 1 is likely disabled to eliminate SMB1 security exposure.

Please follow this tutorial, could also be a service is off. Just follow tutorial.

Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10

    Thanks for your help.
I checked the SMB issue. On my PC (Windows Pro) SMB direct is on and SMB 1.0/CIFS is on. On my (new!) laptop (Windows Home), SMB direct is not present at all, and SMB 1.0/CIFS is on. See image.
I double checked the tutorial, everything fine.

Please expand your SMB heading so we can see what is checked.

Are both devices on Private network. (Not listed as public)

The answers: I can Ping from one side to the other and vice versa. I have shared the C drive (there is only one drive) on the laptop with share name C, everyone control .

See image for SMB expansion. Both devices on private network.

Okay. lets try some basic resets.

Run the following five bolded commands. Use a Command Prompt(admin) or Powershell(admin)

Do not key in info in brackets, there for your information.

ipconfig /flushdns (Clear the dns cache)
nbtstat -RR (release and refresh NetBIOS names)
netsh int ip reset (reset ip settings)
netsh winsock reset (Reset Winsock Catalog)
netsh interface ip delete arpcache (reset Address Resolution Protocol cache)
