    Network Sharing

    I have 2 HP win10 1903

I think I have all sharing options enabled on both PCs.
Tight VCN works from either machine, but when trying to access the other PC from desktop, it keeps asking for network credentials.
This is something new to me. Is there a way to disable this so it works as it did in the past?
Also I don't see both PCs listed under networks using file explorer.
    thanks

Network credentials are your user name and password on the system you are trying to connect to.

Please look at settings in this tutorial. In particular SMB1.0 and password protected sharing(the thing that is giving you Network Credential nag).

Got one working fine. Other shows both machines in network, but is showing no permission to access from desktop.

Please go back and confirm your share permissions on folders on all machines.

Just confirming that after making any changes you restarted machines.

I know this sounds crazy, but when I compare, which box would most likely be the correct one?

What are you sharing some folders have special permissions set so you cant access them. You also need to set NTFS permsissions on the folders as well as the share

Depends on how you are sharing. Option 4 in tutorial is a good way. Brink's tutorial outlines "Correct" settings
