    That darn 0x80070035 error that we all love, lol!

    Hi all, my first post on the forum! Also posting from my phone so forgive any typos.

    Anyway, I’ve had ongoing error with my home network now for several months (one desktop and one laptop) where neither computer can see the other on my home network. That is, they appear on the list of network devices; but when I click on them; that’s when I get the error.

    I’ve tried just about everything you can think of in order to get this to work. Here are some of those things;

    Reset network adapter
    Did all Windows updates
    Virus and spyware scans
    Security policies->LAN Manager authentication level tweak
    Checked my router settings
    Checked that all the hard drives were shared
    Ensured that network discovery is on

    And more. I’m running out of ideas here. Can you guys please point me in the right direction? Thank you 🙏

    I've just read the tutorial (very informative btw!) but I've already shared all the hard drives and added the users where necessary ... do you have any more ideas? Thanks in advance!

    What AV / Firewall products are you using?

    If you move down one level from drive have you allowed sharing on a folder and did you allow everyone?
