Cannot Access Shared Folders On Network (With Pictures)
Hi all..
Background
I have recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The upgrade was done OTA. While I was using Windows 7 I had no network problems.
Network Issue
After the upgrade I am no longer able to access my shared folders or even the other shared computers on my network.
I am able to access the shared computers/folders from other computers on the network BUT I am not able to access this computer from other shared computers - although I can see this computer on the Network. All other computers on the network are operating on Windows 10. However only this computer is using a 32 bit system.
WHAT I HAVE DONE
Among others, I have done the following to no success:-
(i) Change AllowInsecureGuestAuth from 0 to 1 on all shared computers;
(ii) Change Sharing Properties to allow "File and Printer Sharing" ;
(iii) disabled and even uninstalled Windows Firewall and other Anti Virus / Firewall software on all computers on the network ;
(iv) created and joined a new HomeGroup on all shared computers.
I am close to giving up. I am really considering going back to Windows 7. I hope someone here can be of assistance.
Thank you all in advance.
Kind regards,
Sam
