Network drives no longer show free space text

    Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone has come across this 'feature' before ?
For some reason, its only my network drives that no longer show the amount of free space remaining under the percentage full bar in the Tile view.

I've tried resetting my views to default as per Reset Folder View Settings to Default in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

I'm not really sure what else to try.

uh... thanks for that... but thats the one I've already tried.
But for completeness, I just followed by options again, and neither restored the text for the network drives.

    Hey meeces2911,
It's probably the names of your mapped drives are to long and it's pushing the text out of view. Try shortening one of the names to verify if that's the issue.

Wow, I can't believe that's what it was. Thanks Eagle51!

Follow-up question then - do you know of a way to increase the tile space (width or height) so it shows if the name is long ?

Just saw this Tiles View in Windows Explorer screwed up after Fall Creators Update - Windows 10 Forums Looks like there *might* be a fix to remove the blank space beside the icons in the next feature release... so fingers crossed that leaves enough space for me :)

WOW... registered on forum just to post that was my issue as well. I didn't have any drive space hiding policies so the fact that it worked on some drives and not on others was very weird. Lowering to 20 characters worked for me.
