Unable to access Outlook following a reinstall

I have successfully re-install Windows 11 latest version (long overdue and had a few issues) but having problems getting Outlook working again. I am fairly certain I have the password correct but using that failed and a second attempt only gives me the New option when I select File - Email accounts.

Selecting New - the email address I used before (and that I don't want to change) - Advance options - Tick box select "Setup manually" ]- then select IMAP - Connect fails

I then select Change account settings are Incoming - my mail server, Port 993, Encryption SSL/TLS. Outgoing - same server and encryption, Port 465.

    That too fails.

It may be that I have the Pw wrong - how do I reset it, or if my account settings above are wrong, where are they wrong. They are the same as my wife's PC which is OK.,

Can you get into your email using the standard web browser interface for it?

Is the ISP [email provider] Outlook.com / one of the other names MS uses?

If so, the settings you need at given in
POP and IMAP email settings for MSOffice Outlook - MSSupport
It's worth keeping that link for future reference [not that they change very often].
You did not mention the email server setting. The others do not all match what you posted.

As a test you can make a new profile in outlook and add the relevant details

I have managed to get Outlook working again but had to do it by creating a new account i***@outlook.com. I was then able to open my original i******@***.org.uk PST file and now have both. I don't want the outlook one but that is set as the default.
The Outlook one is an Exchange account and the next I want is a IMAP account.
I can see how to delete this but it seems a bit complex and I worry I somehow zap the PST file. Can anyone offer some guidance and more importantly reassure me I won't lose data.

Some accounts if they uses OATH2 will require authenticating, this can mean either confirming you wish to use the account by signing in via a pop up or by using an app specific password. I would check to see if the email account provider requires this.
