    1607 update failure

    Hi

    This is the scenario.

    1. Win10 Pro v1511.
    2. Updates had been deferred. Changed this setting last night.
    3. 1607 downloaded but install failed. No error code as far as I can see.
    4. It looks like Edge has now been screwed by this process. It will not load Google page completely.
    5. I have run scannow and it has logged failure to fix some corrupted files. I have the log but I do not know what it means.

    NB
    1. My machine is encrypted with TrueCrypt (whole drive encryption)
    2. Win10 installed to C drive (system) separately from data on D drive (data) i.e. 2 hard drives
    3. When I clean installed Win10 on this machine, I installed to existing partition structure, i.e. no recovery partition

Is this looking like a clean install of 1607? If so, given that there is another major update slated I may wait if I can fix anything that is broken.
Should I be able to repair 1511 by running the media creation disc and running repair from there?

Solved MS Edge issue using the suggestion below... this link page 2, Tsirk

Am leaving the issue re installing Win 10 Anniversary Update (1607) until I clean install the next update.

Finally I found a solution how the MS edge works without creating new user account. I read this from reddit and I found the solution really works for me. Microsoft Edge opens and immediately closes itself. : Windows10
( To admin Please delete my reply If these links are looks suspicious or something.)

STEP 1: Delete the corrupted Microsoft Edge Folder. "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe"
Delete the "Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe" the FOLDER itself, Make sure you are logged as ADMIN before doing so.

STEP 2: Then Launch Powershell as administrator by pressing Windows key then R, then type powershell, to launch it as admin try to right click the powershell icon at the taskbar after you launch it, the click RUN as ADMIN.

    STEP 3: Copy and paste these command: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml" -Verbose}

Hit enter and once the command is executed,

STEP 4: Quit powershell and restart the computer to complete the process.

STEP 5: Open the MS EDGE to see if its working on you.

Thanks for all the people who are hassled in these problem, finally I made great fix for corrupted ms edge in my pc.
