Okay
cross your fingers and type
C:\Windows\System32>
diskpart
sel dis 1
sel par 2
delete partition override
sel par 1
extend
shrink minimum=1025
create partition primary
format quick fs=ntfs label="Recovery"
set id="de94bba4-06d1-4d40-a16a-bfd50179d6ac"
gpt attributes=0x8000000000000001
exit
Just in case we still can't delete Partition 2 we need the USB-Solution
shutdown /s /t 0 or shutdown /s /p isn't a solution. It's a workaround and I'm not sure it will work.
@therealsimpsons, you should reset BIOS (load defaults) and change a few things to boot as UEFI-GPT and set memory to XMP.
Did you created a drive image before you begin changing drive 1?
OK, now I understand what you mean
select #2
and see what happens
I turned on the PC, it booted up, when I tapped F12 the query came up for which boot item to use. I chose #2, and it booted up okay. I did not save it as primary or anything else. When I shut down, same thing, it rebooted automatically again. PS. I did not run any of those commands from earlier, except the one I sent a screen shot of.
OK
boot into #2
and run
reg query HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control /v FirmwareBootDevice
Option 1 is the normal EFI boot.
Option 2 is something created by Pentagon instructions.
Option 3 is the old option. You must delete the System and the recovery partition on drive 0
Option 4 is probably a USB drive.
Option 5 is the CD/DVD drive.
Why you have two boot options for the same drive 1 is the result of the instructions given to you.
