    Hi,
    1. Test your internal disk. For this you need either to ..
    - connect your disk to another PC
    or
    - create a suitable live boot disk on another PC and boot your PC from that (Google if unfamiiliar).

In either case use e.g. Crystal Diskinfo (free) or better Hard Disk Sentinel (full functional trial/giveaway, includes SSDs) as appropriate.

    2. Create a current bootable flash drive or even use a dual layer DVD using the MS media creation tool, using another PC.
(See tutorial - click Tutorials at the top).

I'm guessing your DVD is of an out of date build.

    3. When installing Windows, choose NOT to accept updates as part of the installation.

    4. Complete specs on your PC. How old is it? (Click My Computers below my post for example. Tutorial available).

Windows can be installed in two ways: Legacy-MBR or UEFI-GPT
Are you trying to install as Legacy-MBR or UEFI-GPT?

You don't set to install to a formatted partition. You set to install to an unallocated space. Go to install and delete ALL partitions on the main drive till you have one and only one unallocated space and then proceed.
