Ending up doing a reset or a clean install?
You should have been using disk imaging - and you should check your disk.
I.e. what's the source of corruption that led to this.
Check disk (as I said above)
Clean install (see tutorial).

I haven't read the thread's replies Have you disconnected and reconnected the keyboard and mouse when it does not work.
Boot from a Win 10 installation drive and at the Windows Setup screen, press Shift+F10 simultaneously to open a command line prompt. Type:
diskpart
list vol (take note of the Windows partition letter. It may not be C:)
exit
chkdsk X: /f (replace X with the letter found with list vol. Pay attention on the results)
