    WIndows system image manager windowsPE


    Excuse me I'm using Windows 11pro. as in the picture below, will the drivers be installed in the Windows PE on WinSim, if not where should I install them ? What part of the WinSIM can I use to install them? Thank you in advance , Also where in the SIM corresponds to the driver in the Setup Screens? Thank you in advance, JTM

    Can't find WinSim om my Win 11 Pro.
    Is WinSim an application or program?

    WSIM (Windows System Image Manager) from the Windows ADK. It's a high-level editor for customizing install images for enterprise environments.

    Yeah, whilst very powerful, it is more orientated to customising images for multiple installations on similar pcs (e.g. corporation has multiple stock pcs all same).

    IMO, it is rather overkill for customising a one-off image for a domestic consumer targeted for one pc.

    So I guess the WinPE that OP refers to is Boot.wim (1 & 2)?

    Install.wim has all the images to install Windows. It doesn't have WinPE
    - Boot.wim has the WinPE wizard with has two “programs”: for maintenance and to install Windows.
    Windows PE (index 1).
    Windows Setup (index 2).
