    New installation comment

Just did my first clean (re)install of Windows 10 on an old device. Haven't tinkered with W10 for a while, all good, no problems but ...

I see in the Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, Microsoft still persists with the intimidatingly threatening accusation that the user is doing something wrong by not having a computer that doesn't meet their standards,, whether the user intends to use W11 or not.

LOL, not sure I see how that would be intimidating, threatening, or accusatory. It's simply stating the fact that, as it currently stands, your system does not meet the published requirements for running Windows 11.

As for this being their standards, does anyone else's standards really matter? Sure, you can run it on a lot of stuff that is not technically supported, but don't you see this is a good thing, namely that Microsoft is giving you a heads up that the system falls short in some way? That's certainly something that I would want to know before I made the effort to upgrade allowing me to be informed up front that I may not have an optimal experience.

Oh dear, surely MS isn't getting backhanders from PC manufacturers by badgering people into replacing their PCs for fear of them not working... I mean, it's an evil world, but surely not MS...
