    Lenovo Ideapad Install Problems

I'm trying to fix a little Lenovo Ideapad for someone........it's running W10......or rather at the moment it isn't........just done a reset of W10 but got to the "Choose privacy settings for your device" screen and can't get past it..... neither the cursor, or the enter key seem to be working, so I am stuck......any help appreciated......

Plugin a standard USB keyboard. You may get away with using the touchpad, or plugging in a standard USB mouse.

If this is yet another old Laptop then it will be the keyboard, probably long term heat damage. Keys just above the CPU are prone to this.

It's not really that old, and has never been used much.....it seems to be only on that particular screen that the cursor won't work....

Use a external mouse and keyboard.

It could possibly be a driver issue. As mentioned, use an external Keyboard & Mouse to get the OS installed and then check for ANY updates [ MS & Manufacturer ].

    I hope this helps.

A bit more progress........if you can call it that....uninstalled keyboard driver, and re-installed, still not working....I also notice that the battery icon has vanished, and also there is no sound, it says something like "no audio device is installed".......I do like a challenge !!......
