    21H1, 21H2 are still missing

After a reset factory, windows10 has been updated 20H2. I've been waiting for two or three days now to get the latest ones as I had them installed before. Are they going to be showing anytime soon? Is there a way to force the updates? I'm aware that 20H2 reached end of service now but it wasn't the last feature update on my machine prior to reset factory. It was up to date 21H2.

    Welcome to Ten Forums.
As Techie Boy says, you could install the Enablement Package yourself. But if you want Windows Update to install it for you, then clicking 'Check for updates' in 'Update & Security > Windows update' may encourage it to find it.

    Thank you.
I've been checking the updates for 3 days in a row.

    The package link won't open.
So I navigated to support microsoft and it gives me a catalog from which I should choose what to download, so which one/ ones should I download?

    and another one

    https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB5005565

I saw that there are two links listing files provided in each update: cumulative and SSU, downloaded but they can't be open either.

    Thank you in advance.

Hi, easier way: try getting a copy of WUMT (Windows Update Mini Tool) - free.
Download Windows Update MiniTool - MajorGeeks

    21H1, 21H2 are still missing-1.jpg

Some find that using that to scan for updates finds them before a manual check for Windows Update via Settings. There have been a couple of cases recently where people were very keen to receive updates but they were not there when they wanted them via Windows Update in the usual way.

Or you could, as some find, just be patient for a couple of weeks.

Note that links to download updates are also posted after the tenforums News item for that update.

It is, however, a little concerning that you can't open the files- that seems to suggest either these are defective downloads, or you have some other issue with your PC.

Please post a screenshot of the error message when you try, and the link/page from which you downloaded them.

What was the reason for the factory reset? Was that because of some problem?
Or are you seeking to sell the PC?
Have you checked your disk recently?

I don't understand your last question!

I got stubborn virus thats why I had to do the factory reset knowing that I might have trouble getting the latest update because 20H2 reached end of service. but I had them before, it's not like I'd missed out on them.

I would be careful to check your factory reset has indeed eliminated that.

As I posted, try WUMT. Easy way.

And- if you had been using disk imaging regularly and routinely as is endlessly recommended here and restored an image created before your virus appeared you could have saved yourself a lot of work.

I might have trouble getting the latest update because 20H2 reached end of service.
I wouldn't expect any problems on those grounds. I recently upgraded a PC from 1903 to 21H2.

At least Build 19041.1237 must be installed to install the 21h2 Enablement Package:
    <mum2:customInformation Version="10.0.19041.1237" xmlns:mum2="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v3" PackageFormat="PSFX" />

And as you can see in the image below, 21h2 Enablement Package also includes the previous enablement packs.

If duhlolo have installed the LCU for 20h2, then the build number would be 19042.1706.

And so the enablement package should be able to be installed.

    Is the latest LCU installed?

I'm assuming that Windows is installed in 64-bit and not 32-bit.
