    Reload Windows 10

I have a Windows 10 computer with the latest updates. It's become VERY slow to load. Quite frequently the computer "hangs" and the only way I can get to boot is to do a Ctrl Cmd Delete move.

I'm wondering if I should put a fresh copy of Windows on it and if so, how to do that. Does Microsoft had a download option for a fresh copy of Windows 10? I only use the computer for Excel, Quicken and online banking.

    You can (for example):
    - diagnose the problem
    a. look at your task manager- are few resources in use when PC is nominally idle?
    b. how much free space is there on C: ?
    c. try a clean boot (Google or see tutorial) - any improvement?
    - clean install Win 10 (activated automatically)
    Clean Install Windows 10
    - try an in-place upgrade repair install
(you haven't, despite forum prompts, said what build you're using - that's necessary first)
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

And of course complete your PC specs (click My computers under my post for comparison).

E.g. if you're trying to run 64 bit windows with 2Gb RAM and32Gb disk it's likely to be slow.

The above tutorials (and more) answer your question about downloading a copy of Win 10. But what you download depends on your build (not stated).

It's a cheap I-3 machine. I'll have to check what the Ram is. The HD has plenty left on it. Thanks for the detailed possibilities for cleaning up my present Windows 10 machine. I'm inclined to just go ahead with the clean install.

Please edit your profile with ALL your hardware specs. It will help us to help you

    Try first a Repair install.
    Boot the computer into windows:
If you have a Win 10 installation drive, run setup.
If you have a Win 10 installation iso file, mount it and then run setup.
It will reinstall Windows and keep your programs and data. It would take about 30 minutes.
