Need Help - Windows 7 to Windows 10 Upgrade Failures

The USB .INF may have been loaded when I attempted Universal Restore from the Acronis Image.

Should I just restore the image again and not use universal restore ???

I tried running the Realtek Driver listed in the thread you gave me and also a R2.81 6.0.1.8036 driver I found on a website.
In both cases the driver appears to load, but after restarting there is still no Sound Device Listed and the High Def audio drivers are still the non-functioning MS ones.

Okay. I will wait. I just didn't want to spend your time trying to salvage something that may have been flawed by the Acronis Universal Restore.

I found instructions to add legacy hardware in Device Manager and managed to get the 6.0.1.8036 driver installed but it will not start. It's progress but still problemmatic.

Download SFCFix.exe and save this to your Desktop.
Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop too.
Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
Save any open documents and close all open windows.
On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.



SFCFix will now process the script.
Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
Then upload the SFCFix.txt

Please do not take any further steps to install drivers afterwards.

It opened Notepad. So, I saved a second copy too.

Start the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST64.exe) with a right click on it as administrator.

Answer the Disclaimer with yes.



Wait until the tool shows "The Tool is ready to use".

Click on Scan and wait.

The Tool creates two Files: FRST.txt and Addition.txt.

When done click on the Fix Button and wait again:

The tool creates then a Fixlog.txt and also a Drivers.txt and CBS.txt file on the desktop.

After that upload the FRST.txt ; Addition.txt ; Fixlog.txt ; Drivers.txt and the CBS.txt on Mega and share the link again.

Okay. I accidently closed FRST after the scan, so I re-scanned and these are all the files you requested.

pnputil /delete-driver oem29.inf /uninstall /force

pnputil /delete-driver oem32.inf /uninstall /force

pnputil /delete-driver oem33.inf /uninstall /force

pnputil /delete-driver oem37.inf /uninstall /force

pnputil /delete-driver oem42.inf /uninstall /force

pnputil /delete-driver oem46.inf /uninstall /force

You fixed the Windows Update problem.
It went to 30%, restarted and completed to 100%, then I got the Desktop.
I checked Windows Update and it shows up to date for required updates.
I did not check optional updates.
The audio is still not working.

I am amazed at your skill.

This is a tremendous fix remotely.

You can really fix a fouled up OS.
