...I did note that with 20H2 I had to use Brink's reg file to access "control userpasswords2" but it was just there with 1507...

In 20H2 I just click Start and type netplwiz.

    Only "sometimes" ?
Just trying to get rid of Meet me which opens Skype. Many other things like Cortana should have been just optional APPs available for download if one want's it, I don't but was able to get rid of it.

I'm trying to see what's behind it, does it use any resources, can't see it anywhere else.

yes, older versions file are saved in C drive but you do not worry about that because windows automatically save your older data.

Well, for my part it is so that I can offer support to anyone who come here and asks for it. There are questions from some users who are on the LTSB/LTSC channels, for them 10240 (1507) only reached end of support two months ago, 1607 LTSC not until October 12, 2021. Then there are those who for one reason or another have not been able to upgrade.

There are significant differences in the location and function of some of the settings in the Settings app, while others aren't in Settings until a particular version, after which they no longer work from the Control Panel. Only with the correct version to refer to can you offer accurate advice. How often have you seen an OP say 'but that screenshot looks nothing like the options on my system'.

It's for the same reason that I have VMs for XP, W7 and W8.1 available that can connect to my network. Recently I even ran up an old Win95 laptop to help answer a tricky networking issue from one OP. Not all machines on an OP's network may be running W10, and mixed networking can have its own issues.

I used to have a "museum" collection of ever single version since very first W10 of few days after introduction all the way when they changed update method and UUP to ISO wouldn't work any more.

I still do, at least for every RTM version, all on the one machine.

For a quick look like my post #18 I'll boot the MR image with Macrium viBoot, for an in-depth look I'll restore the appropriate image to the physical machine.
