Getting started questions about "all in one" bootable rescue disks

I know that I should be using an "all in one" rescue disk instead of various single-use bootable USBs. Please help me to not fall into the rabbit hole.

Is Kyhi's rescue disk the same as win-pese?

If some program, say Norton Security, creates a rescue disk just for security, is there any way that I can extract the "guts" and plug that into one of Kyhi's rescue disk or the win-pese, if that is indeed a separate project.

    Please teach me to fish.

    In advance, thanks.

Yes I have, but I'm not certain how it related to Kyhi's rescue disk. I'm not even sure if I'm asking the right questions here. I'm trying here to learn to fish.

It is my __impression__ that Kyhi has assembled a very complete set of tools, since I've used it a bit. I __ think__ that the Win10XPE is a "build your own" approach, but I have not tried it yet Are the two related?

Can I "build my own" on top of Kyhi's project?

Can I extract some of Kyhi's tools into the "build your own" approach.

I know that after some less-than-optimal experiences and a lot of wasted effort, with trying to restore and then rebuild my Windows partition, that I need better tools.

BTW, one thing I have done right is to keep all my real data on different partitions. D for general data, and E for media like music, videos, photos, and books. All my systems have the same C, D, and E partitions. My main desktop also has G disk-to-disk backup drive.

This time I got attacked by some sophisticated malware that turned off my firewall. As soon as I restarted the firewall, it got turned off again. That kind of malware can't be remediated. It has to be erased with a fresh Windows install.

Why don't you put the questions to Kyhi?

The version downloaded from Microsoft is the worst WinPE I have ever used.

It probably isn't the best but I thought I would post it for reference and information purposes.
