1909 Bootable - 2004 Not Bootable (USB)
Hey all, so I've been having some issues with my pc, it has been acting very strange, taking longer to load, at one point it said no bootable device detected and such in which I did a system restore and that sort of helped, sometimes I could load into my desktop, sometimes I couldn't, it was an array of issues. So I'm like okay, its time for a format, the last format I did was almost a year ago so it seemed just about right.
I downloaded the windows tool and made my usb a bootable usb device with the latest windows version....but it wouldn't load.
I'd get the notification to boot from usb, but the windows logo would appear for a second and then I'd get stuck on a blinking underscore, so I did some troubleshooting, did some research and discovered that my BIOS boot settings where incompatible, in which case i downloaded rufus and switched to MBR, but it still wasn't working, I tried multiple different solutions but it just wouldn't boot...then I had enough and tried downloading windows version 1909 and put that on the usb instead...and it worked.
I'm incredibly lost at this stage, is version 2004 just incompatible with my device? Granted it is a much older system.
Could someone please enlighten me. I did see there is a option to use the windows 7 tool to install version 2004 but I haven't tried that yet, is it even worth it at this point or does 2004 have some issues with it?
This has been a very stressful situation , someone hold me.
Thank you - I'm currently on version 1909
