10 upgrade failed, clean installed 7 but now cant upgrade again.
Hi All
Had Win 7 Ultimate 64 Bit OEM-SLP on HP laptop and got the Get Windows 10 icon a few weeks ago. Reserved copy but as it didnt download i went to Microsoft and downloaded the Media Creation tool to upgrade that way. After install all worked ok but next day system locked up. After power cycle it then booted but no working trackpad. Also every subsequent boot would first require a power cycle as it locked up.
Got fed up and did a clean install of Windows 7 and machine is now at the same state as it was before the attempted upgrade with all updates installed (hundreds!). No Get Windows 10 icon has appeared however and on running the Get 10 troubleshooter it says I dont have a upgradeable version and Windows is not up to date despite repeatedly running Windows up date and it saying Windows is up to date and there are no further updates available.
Any ideas on how I can now attempt to upgrade?
Machine is HP 6735s dual core AMD 64 bit with 4GB RAM
