Anyway, there honestly is no real answer to your question as many have asked the same.... why is my PC not ready?
Honestly if we had the answer we'd of fixed our PC's by now. My desktop finally became worthy today, yet my laptop is still not ready according to Microsoft's servers. And even in trying to force the update via other means has failed

My computer is ready finally , just got the message for my ole Gateway desktop.
Right now I'm doing a (Just in case) Macrium image before I download and update it to 2004.
That way If it doesn't work out 20 minutes later I'll be back on 1909.

Both My PC's are now ready, but it still fails at the same spot, the second boot as it did with the ISO.

How do you intend to update? Download the ISO for an in-place upgrade or click on 'download and install' in windows update?
Allowing windows update to perform the upgrade is by far the slowest method...
How long does the 2004 upgrade take using Windows Update?
...but it does reward you for your patience with a nice entry in the Update History
An in-place upgrade is faster, especially if you turn off checking for updates as part of the install, but you won't get a Feature Update entry in the Update History.

In my case was incompatibility with the graphic driver. All systems with nVidia graphics driver version 380 or earlier are blocked. I updated to latest driver and could upgrade to v2004. Read the known issues list to identify yours.

I have a 10 year-old Lenovo laptop with an old nVidia graphics driver. I can't get an updated driver from Lenovo and I am under the impression that getting one directly from nVidia may not work as most manufacturers customize their laptop drivers. Where am I supposed to get an appropriate driver? The graphics card is a NVIDIA Quadro FX 880M.
