Failing clean Windows 10 Install
Hello. I am at my wit's end with trying to figure out why I can't get a clean install of Windows 10. Figured I'd try this before taking to the shop to spend money I don't have :)
I have a HP 14-AL062NR laptop. I've had it for a few years and used it heavily. About a month ago it started getting BSODs randomly while running. Multiple different errors. I figured maybe my HD was failing so I made multiple attempts to install Ubuntu and Mint so I could grab important files. I couldn't get either to install for good, just the "Live" versions. I managed to grab the necessary files though, and neither OS ran smoothly. I attempted to reinstall Windows 10 with a Rufus USB, but it would always BSOD error (multiple ones) around 69%.
I installed a brand new WD Blue 2TB hard drive. Attempt to install Windows 10 x64 from a USB made with Rufus from a friend. Did the Diskpart/Clean in the commando prompt procedure I found on this forum. The install goes well until about 75%, when I get more BSODs. The first one was the IRQL error, and on the next install it's Security Kernel error.
Before I take it to a shop, do ya'll think it's a hardware error at this point? Maybe RAM, maybe the motherboard. Since I get all these errors and I couldn't get Mint or Ubuntu to install, and when ran as Live versions they were buggy and error-prone. I can replace the RAM or motherboard as they're both available online. I'm sorry to take up forum space, I'm just desperate here. Thank you!
