So I have an i7 3930K 🇨🇺 which is not supported. Motherboard is ASUS P9X79WS which has TPM and LGA 2011 socket, what would be a good replacement CPU

    Supported Intel CPUs: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...tel-processors

    Socket 2011 CPUs: LGA 2011 - Wikipedia

The Haswell-E and Broadwell-E CPUs are LGA 2011-3, and seem to require the X99 chipset.

None of the LGA 2011 CPUs are on the supported list. The latest CPU you could use is an "Ivy Bridge", from 2013.

Welcome to the ranks of those with fairly high-end systems that (at this time) are listed as unsupported by Win 11 because of the CPU.

I'm unsure as to whether you can install Dev builds, but it may be possible. Probably not the release version, without resorting to hacks. You may as well keep the I7-3930K.

That's odd. I'm running 11 on 6th gen Intel. Check secure boot is enabled.

" Microsoft has released the first official Insider Preview test version of Windows 11. There is currently a lot of controversy regarding the upcoming general release, but the two major installation speed bumps for users of older systems – the processor and TPM requirements – have been cast aside for Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.51. In other, related news, Microsoft has temporarily removed its compatibility checker tool and announced Windows 11 (final) will officially support some older gen CPUs from AMD and Intel."

    In a word : "Nope"!
Windows has always been a big security risk!
2 weeks ago someone tried to access my passwords on Google!
Today someone accessed my PC and stop a encrypted drive from being decrypted!
Whoever or whatever is it funny...
    Nope!
    Windows Bye BYE!

You cannot stop them interfering with your PC no matter what.
My apple system never ever has outside access!

Literally had enough after 12 years of outside interference on Windows PC's...
