    Can I Delete Windows10Upgrade Folder?

The reason I ask this is because for some reason Windows created two Windows10Upgrade folders. One was on C: drive and the other was on D: Drive. It has since cleared the contents of the C: drive folder, but the D: contains to apparently identical files,

    18362.175.190612-0046.19h1_release_svc_refresh_CLIENTCONSUMER_RET_x64FRE_en-gb.esd_
( note the underscore on the end ) and
    18362.175.190612-0046.19h1_release_svc_refresh_CLIENTCONSUMER_RET_x64FRE_en-gb.esd
( note the lack of underscore on the end ).

They are identical in size and consuming a total of 6.42GB

Does anyone know what these are? I am currently running 1903.

How was it cleared? Automatically 10 days after the upgrade, as it should be?

Try running Disk Clean up and clicking its 'Clean up System files' button. That should normally clean up files used in an upgrade.

If not, there should be no harm in deleting them manually. They are of no further use once the upgrade has completed successfully.

The .esd files are Electronic Software Distribution files. They hold the source files that were used to upgrade your system. On their own you cannot use them to reinstall Windows, other setup files are required in addition to the .esd. For that you should make a USB or ISO using the Media Creation Tool.

Yes, C drive cleared all by itself. The files on D have been there now for three months so I would have thought they should have gone. The strange thing is that it doesn't even seem to know the files are there. I ran system cleanup and it said nothing was on that drive to cleanup.
Anyway, I will delete them. Thank you!

It's good that you are cautious in these sort of situations, too many rush in and delete everything they think is not needed (and live to regret it). In this case though they are safe to delete.
