Update Version 1803 to 1809 Consistently Gets Error 0xc1900101
Things I've tried:
- Updated all the drivers using Device Manager (Update driver -> Search -> "The best drivers...")
- sfc.exe /scannow, followed by dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
- The Microsoft Windows Update Diagnostic wizard, wu10.diagcab
- Manual installation of update with Windows10Upgrade9252.exe
- Moving down the main partition upper boundary to leave 500 MB of unused space
System OS is Windows 10 Pro, Version 1803 for x64 systems.
Motherboard is ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
Processor is AMD FX-8370 with Wraith fan
System on C:, HD is WD 2 TB; 100 MB EFI system partition (originally formatted for Windows 7 installation)
Second 2 TB HD for data - accessed through file manager and applications, NOT accessed through C:\Users\...
Two 4 TB RAID drives on USB for backup
Norton Security
Malwarebytes
Acronis
Two printers by wired Ethernet through router, none directly connected.
Various USB peripherals - FAX modem, scanner (turned off), whatever.
I keep everything up to date, particularly Norton, MBAM, and Windows.
System is trouble-free, otherwise.
I would like to solve this problem before the new Version 1903 is rolled out to my machine.
