Win 10 1809 upgrade and delete windows.old
I have recently updated several laptops of varying performance capabilities to Win10 1809. I decided to clean up one old laptop running a core i7-3520M cpu/8GB ram so I could clone the HD to a SSD. Disk cleanup is taking hours to clean up the windows.old file. Is this normal on a standard HDD?
In that same vein, I have a newer laptop running Win 10 on an m.2 SSD with a core i7-7700HQ cpu./16 GB ram. It is also taking a long time to process the file removal of windows.old.
Any idea why this tends to be such a lengthy process, regardless the power of the system?
