    Boot mode Gaming pc MEDION

    Hey all,

I bought a new PC and I want to install another Windows 10 version. On my laptop I just needed to press F12 on startup to get into the boot menu where you can choose from witch drive/USB you want to start. But now on my new PC I can't get into the boot menu. Does anybody know how to do it please? I need to start the PC with USB (Win install)

Click on restart in windows 10. If you just do a regular shutdown, you might have fast startup enabled, which tends to bypass the opportunity to get into the boot override menu. Also, try holding shift key when you click on restart. That will get you into the recovery menu, then go through the advanced options.

Also, in a command prompt (admin) or powershell (admin) you can run:
    shutdown /r /fw /t 00

On some computers that will restart the computer directly into UEFI setup.

I just managed to do the new install. Turned out my USB was not bootable (Made with Windows USB/DVD Download Tool). Tried with "Rufus", and that worked. PC started with the USB. So problem solved. Thank you for your information!
