    DISM Error 32 please Help

    When I ran this line: dism.exe /Capture-Image /ImageFile:G:\wimfiles\install.wim /CaptureDir:C:\ /Name:Windows_10 /
    compress:max
I got a error 32. I sent along the log file and a picture of the screen when the error came up what do I need to do? Is there somewhere on this line that i got it wrong? John

You must run the command from WinPE, not while Windows is running.
    1. Boot up Windows Installation disk
    2. SHIFT+F10 to open Command Prompt
    3. Run: dism.exe /Capture-Image /ImageFile:E:\install.wim /CaptureDir:C:\ /Name:Windows10 /compress:Max

NOTE: Under WinPE. C drive might have different Drive Letter. Make sure it is C:
    else use the appropriate letter.

I had the same problem today while I tried to make an Image of my VM. And afterwards the problem was quiet obvious. Everytime I started the Oracle VM and bootet from my ISO to get into the Admin CMD the installation of windows 10 automatically started. I couldnt see it becouse the windows logo kept on the screen. It booted again and the first time I could press shift + f10 the installation was done and i had to choose an Region. I am not sure where this bug comes from but after using one Clone of the VM after another it worked once. The error 32 only displays becouse the system is in use due to the installation progress.
So I dont have a clear solution but at least I know the Problem now!

You should also be able to see if it worked well when the Admin CMD shows the path X:\windows and not C:\windows.

This post is old but i still hope i could help someone in future with this reply :)
