Latest NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Drivers for Windows 10

A simple question, why does everyone seem to be averse to DCH drivers. Personally I've had no problem with them and it does seem to stop MS laying an older driver down on you. In the few games I still play the graphics performance is no different than the standard drivers. what's the problem?

It probably was a Driver From MS WU. It installed 430.XX for me when I was on 1909.

Nvidia says that if you game use Game Ready Drivers, if you do not, use DCH. In newer games the performance difference woulkd indeed show.

As far as I'm aware NVIDIA said not to use the Studio drivers for gaming. They release the game ready drivers in Standard and DCH versions.

With 436.51 it was the first time experience told me that the whql drivers were not compatible with my system and to use dch which installed as game ready driver.

You all notice how Microsoft has been "virtue signaling" the last couple of years like a lot of the big companies?

Maybe the think giving everyone DCH drivers is more "inclusive"

Yes Cliff, it's the same as Realtek moving over to UAD as the mainstream releases.

Probably because you had DCH driver before. One cannot install a Standard Nvidia driver update over DCH and vice-versa.

I had the standard game ready whql driver then WU installed an older driver after updating to 1909 and when I went back to reinstall the latest driver the fiasco began.

MS messing around again with one's settings. That is why I prevent them from installing drivers in Group Policy Editor according to tenforums' tutorial. Then again with each FU, they don't respect your settings. I would have to confirm that with the upcoming 19H2 which won't even be a FU.
