Strange that this issue wouldn't affect everyone. I guess it's the same answer as always and that is there are so many different systems and set ups that users all have different problems. I guess I am lucky as I have no issues at all.

The cursor corruption is only supposed to affect people with G-Sync monitors but users without G-Sync have mentioned it also so I don't know.

There's many reports of cursor corruption in 431.36 and few threads in various forums. Sometimes it happens exiting games but other times just occurs randomly which I have experienced. I'm afraid we're not out of the woods yet as the cursor corruption is still an open issue in the latest drivers. Under Open Issues: http://us.download.nvidia.com/Window...ease-notes.pdf
I saw what you are talking about in your referenced link (Table of contents-page 14). For now, I don't have this cursor issue with the latest Nvidia's Graphics driver—lucky me. The reason why I mentioned Logitech in my previous post is because they too are having some issue with a flaw in the Logitech Unifying software dongle and they seem to have issued a patch for that. After applying the latter, I started to notice some instability with my cursor. I was on 1903 and I decided to roll back to 1809 for the third time. The reasons being not only this cursor instability but also other issues like Microsoft Edge that I could not get to launch in 1903 in spite of applying all the fixes that I know of (nothing worked).

As of this writing, I am now on 1809 and everything is working super smooth (Edge is working fine), same for the cursor even though I don't see LogiOptions anymore in Start Menu. I might try to install it again to determine whether or not the cursor problem had anything to do with it. I think I am going to stay on 1809 until the next Service Pack (CU for 19H2).

Lastly, I don't know if you have noticed Nvidia has been updating their drivers quite frequently in the past 3-4 months; I don't know the reason behind that.

They've fixed the mouse cursor issue in a hotfix: GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 431.68 | NVIDIA

I am curious what is triggering it though. It says that it's happening after "exiting a game". I haven't seen it on any of my non-G Sync monitors.

I think I found my answer after a bit of digging:

This was specific to VRR displays and from the feedbacks I received, Windows 10 only.
A VRR display is a Variable Refresh Rate monitor, e.g G-Sync or G-Sync Compatible display.

Sometimes I get the cursor corruption when waking the screen. Need to install the hotfix ASAP.

Windows Update just pushed a 431.70 version on my Release Preview setup that actually installed on my old GTX 970.
Pretty sure that the previous release/s of this driver set would only support the GTX 10xx series and newer video cards.

    peace
    wanna
