    Help me with GPU 100% usage

    Can someone please help me why is my GPU all of a sudden showing 100% usage.

    AS you can clearly see that the 3D box graph is at maximum. I am not running any game or any other software. Please guide me what to do ? I have just updated windows to the new 22H2

    I have just noticed that Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe) in my task manager is using the GPU 3-D Engine. Is that normal ??

    @kufr

    First... I would try rebooting if you haven't done that already.
    Then keep an eye on the GPU usage as you start using programs again.

    Your Ethernet has high usage as well. Could it be something online that's using your GPU like that?

    Other possibilities could be a corrupt vid card driver, or even something in Windows itself, has been corrupted.
    It could also be a failing vid card, but I would try the reboot, first.
    That may give us an indication as to where the problem actually lies.

    My first guess is some forgotten program, running in the background.

    It seems to have settled down by itself somehow. I did check for malware and restarted my pc 2-3 times. One of the thing I noticed was the it happened right after I updated my windows to 22H2.

    Ethernet had high usage as I was downloading a few files. It was my first though that maybe something online is using my GPU but then I completely shut down everything else all browsers and stopped all activity at my end still the graph for 3D was not going down. I was worried that somehow I got some bug or a bitcoin mining malware or something in my pc.

    I also clean installed my GTX 3080 drivers. So I guess this got resolved quickly thanks for the reply.
