    HDMI: Two Independent Rotations Snag

I purchased a second monitor so that I could have one in Landscape frame and one in Portrait frame. The HDMI splitter that I purchased replicates only one orientation. It does not provide for independent rotation of a second other monitor. With the splitter in- line Windows Display Settings only sees one monitor. I only have one HDMI port on my computer.

I am able to keep one monitor vertical and one horizontal by feeding the second through the VGA port. That of course vastly diminishes the sharpness in the second monitor.

Does anybody know of an app or black-box of some sort that will allow me to independently control the rotations of two HDMI monitors through one HDMI output port?

Thanks for any thoughts or guidance.

How to fill out System Specs for tenforums.

See here: System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums

Fill out as much as you can. The more you provide the better chance someone can help.

Look at mine for an example of what you can put there. Depending on the type of PC you have, you may be able to add a 2nd video card or add another HDMI or Display Port.

Something I saw a number of years ago was a monitor designed to be used as Portrait, great for newspaper editing or their term paste up. They actually could be rotated from Landscape to Portrait. If I was a publisher I'd use two alike for compatibility, leave one Landscape and the other as Portrait.
