How do I turn off night light?!?!

I'm having the common problem of Night Light not being able to be turned off. I have searched and tried every solution I've seen so far including deleting things from the registry, adding things to the registry, logging out and back in, and generally every solution I've come across.

Does anyone know a definitive fix for this POS that doesn't involve reinstalling windows?

Is there an update I need, or need to uninstall to fix this?

That doesn't work, hence why I'm making this post.
It's already "turned off" but my screen remains tinted.
if I turn it on, the settings window closes and upon reopening it, it's "off" again, but still enabled.

Have you tried the temporary workaround of decreasing the amount of night light to zero?

Wait... when you move that dial thing it doesn't get darker to the right? Does it move at all? Does it not let you grab it?

Yes I can move the slider but nothing happens.

Laptop power profile is set for performance as it's always plugged in. There's nothing set to dim my screen or anything.

Night light is scheduled to be on, except that it never turns on or off, and when I turn off scheduling it still remains enabled.

When I change any settings they don't stay. If I turn night light off then exit settings and go back immediately, it's re-enabled again.
