If you create a new user for test purposes and log in as that user, does nightlight work then?
If you see the same problem it's likely that should you eventually upgrade, that may fix it.

Two things to check - The settings for the screen colours check that these are set to default,
also check any monitor settings , a monitor may have a "Warm" screen option or these days a low Blue light option - in your case these may be an option in the Laptop settings, or in the graphics driver
If still problems see Post #11

and f.lux (When I used these I preferred the first).
This is super frustrating and nothing is working.
I updated my computer and for a few days Night Light magically turned off, my screen was a normal colour and everything was fine, then just as suddenly it's re-enabled and won't turn off again.
I have tried everything mentioned here, my power plan isn't causing it, my screen settings aren't causing it, I can't turn it off in settings, I can't turn it off in action center.
I turned it on once about a year ago to try and get better sleep since I'm an insomniac, but I've had medication for a while and don't need my screen being constantly brown 24 hours a day.
I really need to permanently disable this stupid feature.

Turn On or Off Night Light in Windows 10
post #2 gives default settings, but see post #37 and check carefully.

It begins to sound as if you have something installed which is affecting Nightlight.
If I login as a different user the screen is fine and night light isn't enabled.

Ive done that stuff, I've looked in the registry, made the changes, imported the files, rebooted.
fkn nothing will turn this damn feature off.
I have absolutely nothing installed that changes screen settings or night light or any other form of screen changing stuff. I literally ONLY used the built in feature for night light.
Thanks, that's significant, as it shows general repairs such as an in-place upgrade repair install, sfc /scannow, DISM.... etc etc won't help- this is specific to your user profile. If I login as a different user the screen is fine and night light isn't enabled.
What happens if you do a clean boot? (Google if unsure how or see tutorial). (Just to try to confirm no effect of anything running).
