Latest NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Drivers for Windows 10 [2]

WOW this happened to me too... I didn't even notice till u mentioned it and I checked my system
I just upgraded.
That's what I normally do.
I can tell you that there are a lot of angry people on the GeForce Forums regarding v456.38.
The thread is moving so quick, my eyes can't keep up with all the posts.
I'm not a gamer, so other things that people are screaming about don't bother me.

The Windows Start Menu issue is not an issue specifically to this driver, or any driver really, but in Windows and how it's detecting new display drivers during installation. A Nvidia employee had a statement on this a while back on their official community hub. Nvidia should start forcing a restart upon install imo, or at the very least come up with a warning screen. A simple restart of your computer, by right-clicking the start menu, is always recommended after driver updates.

I reported it to Microsoft via their Feedback Hub earlier today...

My RTX 2080 Ti is running way too hot on this driver, I am going back to the dev driver.
Thought it was just me. Immediately after installing this (DDU first), my 1080Ti went to 64°C and fan speed of 35% and stuck there. Nothing adverse running in it or CPU. DDU'd it out and re did. Stuck on 60°C and fan speed of 38%. One more time.... back to 64°C and fan speed of 35%.
These temps were verified with three (3) different monitors. Alienware (Dell) native power/temp control app, GPU-Z, and Windows Task Manager>Performance tab>GPU display temp. All matched.
DDU'd a third time and back on 452.06.

I never checked my temps, but after installing 456.38 it took me TWO trys to login to TenForums and my Google home page. So I went back to the older version also.

For any feedback regarding issues with the drivers please report them here in the driver feedback form.
Seems there are so many issues with these, and considering that these are the launch drivers for their latest 30-series GPUs, you can't go back drivers if you have one for testing.

my suggestion is better you roll back the driver then you filled up MS question for the reasons : like ask MS solve the problems just joke man
