I agree Ive just read that if during an upgrade it feels there is not enough space in the existing recovery partition it will create a new one and the old one becomes obsolete. (Makes sense as its now empty) Unfortunately the old one at the beginning of the drive is not really usable without shifting partitions along which isn't worth the time against doing a clean install
There is a thread here where someone from M states they are working on the Win defender notification issue and will have a fix soon.
One person in that thread suggests this registry edit will get rid of it:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Security Health\Health Advisor\Battery
Set to 0.
Not sure if it works yet.
I hope when they fix this they allow you to shut off some of these other icon warnings like if you don't want to use the cloud or you don't want to send in samples etc.
Hi All
Grrr!!!
So after upgrading to CU via the upgrade assistant I had some strange partitions setups as here Creators Update - Discussion of new changes and quirks - Page 19 - - Windows 10 Forums. Rather than trying to sort the extra recovery partition I went ahead last night and did a clean install with the CU ISO.
Good news is my partitions are back to normal but for some reason I now have no live tile for the msn weather app and the people app.All others work fine. I've tried cleaning the live tile cache, makes no difference. Any other suggestions guys.
Oddly initially the weather app does show live tiles for the default location after install in my case London but as soon as I change that to my location or check location it looses the plot. People hasn't shown anything since install.
Thanks Danny
That registry change for windows defender doesn't work. It just ran scan and exclamation is back.
