You can try the in-place upgrade repair install I mentioned before.
This is a rather good repair technique, and a lot faster with a SSD.
And yes, it's quite possible to use disk imaging to replace your drive. Windows activation is ok with that.
As to a clean install.. depends where you've come from with this build. If it was an upgrade, a good idea if setting up things won't cost you too much time.
But if you've a lot installed, might lose program licenses, and it would cost a lot of time, that's another matter.
hmm ok I think I will do the in-place upgrade like you suggest and then if that works out issues I will do the disk imaging to change drives, that way its already fixed.
Clean install is no problemo, this New PC build (just updated System Specs) was just that, last PC build was 7 to 10 upgrade, the clean install was with a Brink tutorial
Thanks for help, I'll try to get it started, I need to back everything up first.
I took a screen recording of the issue, is it ok to upload (35 seconds-5mb) and post here? I used Movavi Screen Capture 7, played it back with VLC and ok
Excellent, I will post it here.
Here is the video zipped up of the issue I am having, you can see where I am in my PC and trying to right click a folder, then you can see how the menu appears then bottom icons flash and menu disappears, I repeated this on the other folders.
Saturday (Tomorrow) I am going to attempt the in place upgrade for repair as suggested by dalchina, and see if fixes, if not clean install here we go lol
I used VLC for playback, works fine.
Here you go, I put it on my youtube channel for you, let me know if you want it removed, this will just be easier for people to watch.
Mucho better! lol I should have done the same, just didn't think about it, duh
No need to remove..
Thanks!!
