Windows 10: Can't move Music folder to another drive
Can't move Music folder to another drive
I'm trying to move all of my documents to a new hard drive and I successfully did it with all of them except for the "Music" folder; each time I try to move it to a new location I get this error message:
Is there a way to correct this?

How is your permissions? Does your user account have enough rights to write data to your intended destination location?
Yes, I have admin rights, I have every permission except for "Special permissions", which I don't know if that's necessary nor how to enable it.
Maybe try copying the music to a different location on the present hard drive and then copy to the new hard drive. I have had this problem with other versions of windows and that is how I got around it.
I tried it and I still get the message "The copy function cannot be used".

How to Add or Remove 'Copy To folder' and 'Move To folder' Context Menu in Windows 10
When you press and hold or right click on selected file(s) and folder(s) and click/tap on Copy To folder, it will copy them to a location you select...
 I found a Windows 10 Forums article online about how to move the Users profile folder to an external drive, but it was not something easily understood by a not-too-techie user.
If there are some easy to follow step-by-step instructions...
There is a great feature in win7 explorer that you can arrange your music in the music folder by a few options such as albums, genre and artist.
There is a way to get it again in win10 explorer?
When I had Windows 7, I had literally every single thing in My Documents. Every song, every file, every tax record, every picture...literally everything. That way, when I backed up my hard drive, I just plugged in the My Passport Ultra drive,...
I am trying to move my documents folder from the external drive I put it on before installing Win10. It looks like its going to move, then says its done but nothing has moved. Any ideas?
