Windows doesnt boot from NVMe SSD, any ideeas?

Hi, my first post here and as title says i can´t make Windows boot from my NVMe SSD . Sorry for the long read.

I assembled my new PC yesterday, everything went alright. I installed windows (using an external DVD reader and original Windows 10 Pro) then proceeded to shut it down in order to finish cable management. After i put everything in place, i turn it off and windows doesn´t boot. VGA and Boot motherboard lights are on. Screen in black showing ASrock logo and nothing else happens.

I reset GPU, ram, NVMe, i even reset bios still same issue. Then i remove GPU and still doesnt work. Lastly i remove NVMe SSD and after turning on, pc opens bios.

Aftear more reading i stumble on a thread on this forum (Windows 10 won't boot from nvme) where a guy had a similar issue. Response was the fallowing:

More than likely you booted from the DVD in legacy BIOS mode. This caused Windows 10 to be installed onto the NVMe drive in legacy BIOS mode. NVMe drives require UEFI mode to boot from. I would recommend you create a Windows 10 installation USB flash drive instead of DVD, boot from the flash drive in UEFI mode, reinstall Windows to the NVMe SSD
So i try to create a Bootable Windows 10 USB using Media creation tool from microsoft but for some reason i get an error so i drop it. I then install Anyburn and create an image of my Windows 10 pro dvd . I use said image to create a bootable windows USB with Rufus fallowing steps here Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10 , specifically 7 To Create Bootable UEFI USB Flash Drive for Installing Windows 10 only with UEFI.

I plug USB in, load bios, select USB as primary boot, disable CSM and Fastboot, install windows again and everything goes just fine. With windows working i safely remove USB stick and then i restart computer, Windows boots perfectly.

I turn it off then on and i have the same issue, black screen with ASRock logo and nothing boots.

Some additional info - Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6800, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower - PCPartPicker PC specs.

When i go into bios - boot priority, options are:

    Windows Boot Manager (WDblue SN5801TB)
UEFI: Toshiba Trans Memory PMAP, Patition 1 (Toshiba Trans Memory PMAP)

I never had any sort of issues with this Windows version, i am using it on my laptop for almost 10 years.

I suggest your first task is to complete that successfully so you have a reliable current means of installing Win 10.

I'm also wondering why you seem to prefer a DVD as your installation medium.

How many drives do you have in your PC when installing Windows? Best to have just your intended system drive - and no others.

I'm sure others will comment on BIOS/CSM settings and possible driver issues.

Have you updated BIOS to version 3.01? Sometimes it fixes issues that are not specifically listed.

A new PC and you start with DVD Grrrrr!

The first successful Reboot after you removed the USB is from here

    ramdisk=[C:]\$WINDOWS.~BT

Then you run the Setup. Everything is OK.

You reboot and Bang. Black screen?

    Mission Impossible?
NVMe driver not loaded and REG Sartup entry = 3 you get a BSOD
You MB doesn't support NVMe-Boot: Black Screen.

Did you read the manual? BIOS settings NVMe doesn't need AHCI
    The right boot device selected?

When starting the PC, press the f8 or f11 key to open the boot menu window. In this window choose the m.2 nvme on which Windows is installed and press enter.
If it boots on windows then it is not an m.2 nvme problem. And then it's a setting problem in bios and/or the bios to update this has been indicated.

Edit: With rufus in its options did you choose GPT and UEFI when you provided usb support?

That is probably the main reason.
How old is the Win DVD installation disk?
I suggest you build the USB Win 10 22h2 installation drive using MCT so it can boot as Legacy or UEFI.

Windows can be installed in two modes: Legacy - MBR or UEFI - GPT.
On a NVMe drive you should install as UEFI - GPT.

    Reinstall
    Reset BIOS or load defaults.
Set Disk mode to AHCI, not RAID
    Select OS mode = UEFI
Disable fast boot and secure boot (you can turn it on after installation)

To install as Legacy-MBR you must boot the installation drive as Legacy
To install as UEFI-GPT you must boot the installation drive as UEFI.

As you have a UEFI BIOS, you should install as UEFI-GPT
Detach any other drives (SATA or Power cable) from the MB.

During POST, press F12(?) to launch the boot menu. You will see two options for the USB drive. USB UEFI (Name) and USB (Name). Select USB UEFI (Name) to install as UEFI-GPT.
Go to install and delete ALL partitions on the main drive till you have one and only one unallocated space and then proceed.
If you don't want to use MS account, don't enable updates or connect to the internet during installation.

Hi, sorry for replaying back late on the issue, been busy with work but mostly wanted to take a break cause the whole it´s stressing me a lot.

@TairikuOkami i am gonna upgrade bios as last resort, never done it. Gonna check what version i have atm too and get back to you.

@ itsme1 I´m gonna do that and replay back. Indeed i selected GPT as partition scheme.

@ Megahertz Its old, more than 5 years. But ive been using it on my laptop without any issues so far (laptop is old too, Lenovo ideapad i bought in 2017 i think). It´s a Windows 10 home for OEM softwere, in spanish.

I suggest you build the USB Win 10 22h2 installation drive using MCT so it can boot as Legacy or UEFI.
i did just that, somehow it worked. Gonna try that next fallowing your tips.

Also I dont have any other drives connected.
