Help with an Asus E210K laptop setup.

Hi, it's my first post here and I hope that I'm posting in the right place. if not, I would like to ask the administrator to move it to the correct spot.
To the problem that I'm facing: I have a brand new Asus E210K laptop and I've started to set it up. after turning it on for the first time, I was asked the country that I'm in and then the keyboard layout (I hope that I remember the correct order) and then appeared a "Let's connect you to a network" window. my domestic network was recognized and the "Connect" button is lit and ready, but there it stalled. no response clicking the button. I couldn't find a way to continue or to exit this window. I've checked Google how to disable the network installation and it said to click Shift and F10 and a command prompt will appear. I've done that, but it didn't appear. turning the laptop "off" and turning it "on" again, brings me back to this window. as per Win version, I don't even know if it's 10 or 11 because I couldn't proceed with the installation. hope for your help/advice.

According to the time in your Profile you are in the -6 hour time zone on DST, same as me in the US MDT zone which means I'm 6 hours earlier than UTC/GMT [Greenwich].

As for the Network, not familiar with the use of "domestic network", mine is a LAN/Local Area Network in my building which consists of the Wireless Router and various computers Wired and Wireless/Wi-Fi connected to it plus 2 printers and a NAS drive. Then the Router is connected to the Modem provided by my ISP which connects to the WAN/Wide Area Network also called the Internet. I usually click "I don't have an Internet connection", finish the setup then make the connection. My 6-month-old Win11 Notebook defaulted to requiring a Microsoft Account for setup, I used an E-Mail Address not directly associated with Microsoft, worked fine.

Thanx for your reply. sorry if I've used the wrong term. I'm not a computer expert, but that's what I meant. as per your describing the installation process that you carry out - unfortunately it doesn't apply in my case, because as I've mentioned, I'm stuck on the "Let's connect you to a network" screen" that doesn't allow me to continue. any advise regarding how to solve this fault, will be a great help.

Did you use WiFi or did you connect the Laptop by LAN-Cable?

    You have WIN 11

The right command when you are in X:>
    shutdown /s /t 0

The only way is the Wi Fi, there is no rj45 socket on the laptop.
Could you please elaborate how and where I have to use the command that you've suggested, since as I've mentioned that the option of the Shift and F10 in order to open the Command Prompt - yield no results.

Shift + F10 brings you to command prompt. Right?
    there you type
    shutdown /s /t 0

But you should have the possibility to reenter the "AUDIT Mode.
    Ctrl+SHIFT+F3.

Do you have WIFi-Access when you use a Mobile Phone?
Maybe there is a Hardware Switch on the Laptop where you can switch WiFi on and off

Probably Win 11 according to this
ASUS E210 | Laptops | ASUS United Kingdom
However it was introduced around May 2020 - before the release of Win 11.

When you have this resolved, help with Win 11 is available on

That's one of the problems. as I've mentioned - clicking Shift+F10 doesn't bring up the Command Prompt, therefor I can't write any of the command lines that you've given.
On other devices, the Wi Fi works fine. I have a desktop pc, two mobile phones and they work fine.
There is no switch to turn the Wi Fi on and off on the laptop. I've tried to attach a picture of the screen of the laptop, picture that I took on my mobile phone, but unfortunately I wasn't able to upload it, even though I did as ordered in the guide to enable uploading.

Thanx. I hope that I'll be able to resolve the problem and when (and if) it will be done, I'll be able to see what OS it is and if it is the 11, I'll address the forum that you've recommended.

As long as it not configured
    Ctrl+SHIFT+F3
should bring you to AUDIT where you can configure, add a new USER and a Dummy User with MS-Account.
There you can check also the WiFi Environment (Wi-Fi 5(802.11ac) (Dual band) 1*1)
But all that might be a little different when you have a "HOME" edition.

How to Upload and Post Screenshots and Files at Ten Forums
    - gives acceptable file types and limits on size for each.

    I upload screenshots thus:

    - attachments - 'Go advanced' (below) then use the paperclip button at the top.

As it's brand new, you could also refer to ASUS for device specific help.
