    Upgrade to Windows 11

    Hello
    I have Windows 10 Pro - 64 bits installed

I would like to upgrade to Windows 11 PRO

It seems that for a while, I had a "free upgrade" link somewhere ... b ut I was not ready (lack of space on my system disk)

Now, I would like to upgrade bu t I don't find this link any more - I tried to the "Upgrade" menu in the settings, but only "normal" upgrade are displayed

Is the free upgrade to Windows 11still available ? If the answer is "yes", how can I access it ?

    T hanks for your help

    Have a good day

Yes, the easy route is available provided your PC is 'compatible' (i.e. meets hardware requirements etc).
Have you checked? There are a couple of easy ways to do that (tools).

If so, and if Windows Update is working you might well have seen a prompt suggesting you upgrade.

If you don't see it offered via Windows Update you might stop and think - why not?
Have you perhaps set 'target feature update' (see Tutorials) - a widely posted method to stop the upgrade?
    Is your hardware compatible? E.g.
Checkit – Free Windows 11 Compatibility Check Tool
3 tools to check Windows 11 update compatibility | TechTarget

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/...b-2ce77ac7c70e
That also covers manually upgrading to Win 11- same method as an in-place upgrade repair- download a Win 11 iso file.

Note: you've ignored the forum prompt to specify your full build number... like so many...

Under your avatar it says Win 10 Home- but you say you have Pro...

    Thank you for your answer

I ran "Checkit" and notice a "Partition style" warning, all other items seem correct

I checked on the net and found something aabour "How to convert MBR to GPT" - Should I do that ? Any risk ?

I had a normal installation of my initial Windows 10 Pro 64 bits and at some time, as the initial SSD became too small, I cloned it to a larger one

My Windows version is Windows 22H2 Build 19045.4355

and you can see the 2 files attached : it's Windows 10 Pro

    Thanks for your help

System Installation date 11.12.2019 means that you have the „OLD“ Partition Layout starting with a useless Recovery Partition.

    Your System Firmware is: UEFI
So NO "Convert MBR to GPT" ! ! !

Your partition details (see posts above) will help a lot.

Note too that there are reports that the EFI partition must be at least 400MB - whilst that will only be 100MB on many.

Thanks. One with e.g. Minitool Partition Wizard e.g. would be helpful as that shows more details and the 16MB partition hidden by Disk Management. Looks like your last partition is the current Recovery partition (the first one as Pentagon said being redundant).

    Please run
    reagentc /info
from an admin command prompt to check that and that it's enabled.

Should you need to resize the EFI partition (as the article I posted suggests) here's one guide:

You could merge Partition 1 and 2 and create a new EFI partition.

The hidden MSR partition (3) is not relevant.

Your BIOS should be updated first.

You didn't follow the tutorial to insert your computer specs on your "My Computer". Please do it so anyone can retrieve the specs at any of your posts.

Your drive is already UEFI-GPT but the partitions are a mess. I don't see the recovery partition.

Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
    diskpart
    list disk 0
    list part
    exit

    reagentc /info

    Post the results here

Do you have any drive image softwaree like Macrium Reflect or Aomei Backuper?
