    You do not have permission to open this file. See the owner of the ...


    I'm getting a weird message when I try to open a txt file I have on my computer that I haven't used in a while. "You do not have permission to open this file. See the owner of the file or an administrator to obtain permission." I'm not sure how to access the file and if someone could help me access it I would greatly appreciate it.

    Add Take Ownership to the Right click Context menu, then right click the Text file and Take Ownership of it.
