[SOLVED] Event ID 153, Event ID 51 The IO operation at logical block..

Event ID 153 The IO operation at logical block address 0x22b0 for Disk 9 (PDO name: \Device\0000008d) was retried.
Event ID 51 An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk9\DR9 during a paging operation.

All drives are relatively new solid-state drives ( Samsung EVO) which HD Sentinel reports in perfect 100% health working order.
(not that this matters as it is a life expectancy and I had SSD's with 73% health reported working perfectly)

Interesting is that I do not have a disk 9 installed but at the moment unused USB/SD card ports available.
Disk management shows 6 disks and 3 removables: disc 7 removable G; disk 8 removable I; and disk 9 removable Q.
All of these are USB or SD card ports with nothing plugged in. If I plug in an SD card in the SD card slot it lists as drive Q in file manager.
Diskpart shows disk 9 as "no media" with size and free being 0B, which is normal, see above.
    Diskgenius shows no problems anywhere.
    The system otherwise runs fine.

So why do I get these repetitive listings on the system in the event viewer?
Is it a pending doom warning or is it just once again some OS fart?
How the hell can it detect an error on a device that is not plugged in respectively does not exist?

Glad I'm not a captain flying a Boeing 737 Max...
...but do feel how it must be when you get a master warning while the aircraft flies perfectly...

    It's a funny world sometimes...

So I entered into my search engine "non-existent hard drive (local disk Q:)..."
and promptly the first return was:

How do I get rid of non-existent hard drive (local disk Q:) that shows ...

Long story short, this appears to be a remnant from a previous office 2010 respectively 2016 click-to-run installation

This "protected persistent drive" is easily removed by opening the registry to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DriveIcons\
Select the drive letter (in this case Q) key in question and delete it.
    Reboot.
Gone are also the previously mentioned event IDs in the event viewer.

    Have a nice day!
