explorer.exe ask me for microsoft account passw.

    Hi, i'm running
    windows 10 home 64 desktop
    22H2 build SO 19045.4123
since some days the process explorer.exe when started ask me for my microsoft account password, i realize it when i start my pc, win 10 home desktop 64, i’m the unique admin user and i’ve no passw for the log on so when i start my pc i suddenly see my desktop, but since some days i got the image attached…that ask me for my ms account passw.
this isn’t blocking cause if i click on the white arrow on the top left the image disappear and i see my desktop, this is the first time it happens…and going on and making my investigations i discover that if i shut down in task manager the explorer.exe process the desktop consequently disappear and became black and if i start again the process explorer.exe in task manager i got the same image attached asking me for my ms acc. passw., so this behaviour is tied and due to explorer.exe, infact at the winlogon there is the start of this process, so to sum up since some days explorer.exe when started, or at winlogon, or then manually by me in task manager, make appear the image attached asking me for ms acc. passw., the strange thing is that it isn’t blocking, i repeat that i’m able to click the white top left arrow and go suddenly to my desktop…but i’m asking here why this behaviour…is there a way to solve…??..i have also done deep antivirus scans with malwarebytes, eset on line, f secure on line, mcafee stinger and no virus has been found…
    another important discovery…:
if i disable internet connection this issue disappear…no any window asking me for ms acc.passw if i start explorer.exe

    thxs so much in adv

    cheers

hi, first so many thxs again
maybe there is a misunderstanding, maybe i'm not so good in my explanation..apologize me..i try again:
i do not have any pass to access to my pc...i'm unique admin user of my pc and
before 08 march 2024 when i started my pc desktop win 10 home 64
i suddenly was able to see my desktop,
but now ,since 08 march, after start before seeing my desktop
i got the image that i've attached to this 3d
i reunderline that is not blocking at all...i can easly click on the white arrow on the top left and it disappear and appear my desktop
and this behaviour happens also if i shut down the explorer.exe process in task manager and then i re-start it

explorer.exe ask me for microsoft account passw.-immagine.jpg

i also copied here my regedit key:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PasswordLess\Device]
    "DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion"=dword:00000002

the value 2 means Passwordless ON

thxs so much again for yr attn and helping
    so how to solve?
pls be patienceable because i'm really not expert or skilled at all....
and i re-underline that this is really NOT blocking at all...
i can easely click on the white arrow on top left and immediately bypass that window of password of microsoft acct request....
and see my attachment about netplwitz....there is ONLY my local account...not the microsoft account....
instead on the web page example tuto you linked there is clearly the microsoft account
i attach here the image of the web page:
Sign in User Account Automatically at Windows 10 Startup
over the Brink2 user account there is a microsoft account which ends with @Outlook.com
but if you see closely my situation you see that in mine there is really not any microsoft account
only my as unique user admin...

so the web page you linked is not suitable to this issue i'm talking and reporting here...
thxs so much for yr kind helping and attn
pls have patience with me..i pray...
    cheers

I think Windows is trying to open an app that requires your MSAccount password. The new email app ["Outlook"] perhaps?

It's not a prompt I recognise, so as Try3 suggests it's likely to be specific to one particular app rather than to Windows in general.

the process explorer.exe when started ask me for my microsoft account password,
That puzzles me somewhat - by default there's an explorer process running.

    How are you starting it?

i’m the unique admin user and i’ve no passw for the log on so when i start my pc i suddenly see my desktop
As Samuria was attempting to indicate, passwordless login is normally only available if you have specifically chosen to set it up.
    (I.e. no manual login required).

Is the account you are using a MS account?

And do you actually know the password for that account?

hi, first thxs so much for yr attention
    @dalchina:
is the winlogon at pc start
    , before uploading the desktop,
start explorer.exe...so this is why ,doing my investigations,
i realize ,as i supposed , that the matter of the new window asking for password was due to that explorer.exe
and i have the proof going to my task manager, stopping the process and then re-start the process,
    when i stop explorer.exe the screen become black without my desktop,when i re-start explorer.exe
i got the window request for my ms acct. passw.
and as i've already clearly written i have set passwordless login since years......pls see my latests posts...:

i also copied here my regedit key:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PasswordLess\Device]
    "DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion"=dword:00000002

the value 2 means Passwordless ON

and as i have already written i'm using a local account,
i'm the unique user and admin of my pc...pls see my latests attachment figures...is clearly described....:
