Task Manager asking for password which I do not have

In a forum here it shows how to Create System Restore Point on Schedule in Windows 10 . At the very end of this process it then says "put in your password" and you're done. I assumed my password was the 4-digit key I use to log in when I boot up. But it doesn't accept that. I searched further here to see what my password might be and it sent me to the registry whereby the registry place with my password does not exist (“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” > “SOFTWARE” > “Microsoft” > “Windows NT” > “CurrentVersion” > “Winlogon” ----> DefaultPassword. Hence I then assumed, since it's not there that I must use a blank space as my pwd and it still did not work. So what on earth is my password supposed to be? Is it the one used when I first installed/reinstalled Windows 10? (This is a home personal PC which I built with parts hence not a brand name.)
    Thanks in advance.

I believe you are referring to step 11 in this:
Automatically Create System Restore Point on Schedule in Windows 10

    - which I found by searching the Tutorials section.

I assume you normally log in having bypassed the login prompt, using a PIN or other biometric feature.

Unfortunately people sometimes don't realise this doesn't make the password redundant, which is still required in certain circumstances.

If you have forgotten your password there's a relevant tutorial in the searchable Tutorials section.
    That may help you.

You haven't said whether you're using a local or MS login - the tutorial covers that.

Thanks @dalchina. Yes, I log in using the PIN. I'm not sure which password it or you are referring to and wonder if it is the one that was used when first installing/reinstalling W10 (which in my case was via Hotmail).
I did a search where you said and I cannot seem to find a tutorial that tells me how to see it. What I found are tutorials such as "Password Reveal Button - Enable or Disable in Windows 10" but what does it mean if I enable to reveal it? Where would I see it? and would this make me vulnerable to attacks?

Update: Ok it does seem to be the one used with Hotmail when first installed/reinstalled. Thanks again @dalchina. I really apprecited your help here.

side note: In clicking the 'like' button under your post @dalchina the message read, "You must spread some reputation around before giving it to....". Not sure I understood what that was telling me. It seems obvious but how do I do so, by doing it in other postings or what?

Great- normally when people install Win 10 they use a password.

If your admin account is a MS account, then it will be the password for that, for example.

However you subsequently choose to log in it's important to keep a record of that.

Yes, there is some site limit on 'spreading' reputation... no doubt governed by AI..!
