'Let's Finishing Setting Up Your Microsoft account' Every single time

It was normal for me to get this once after every update, but for some reason it seems broken now after a recent update and instead it comes up every single time I boot the PC. But here's the thing, it pops up for a few seconds then disappears, causing my PC startup to be slower than usual because of it. This is what it looks like (but without the continue button or the 'remind me later' one) https://filestore.community.support....0e?upload=true

It appears after I input my pin to log into the PC, just before it loads to the desktop. I have tried unticking the settings found in windows notifications settings that stop the 'welcome experience' and 'suggest ways I can finish setting up my device', but this problem still persists every day.

My windows 10 version is:
Windows 10 Home
22H2
19045.4046

If anyone could help me resolve this it'd be greatly appreciated.

I suggest using Option 2 as this will create/overwrite the necessary registry key/value... but it's up to you.

Post back if this doesn't work.

I will try this soon, thanks. Are there any risks to it at all?
Today it came up as 'please wait' with a loading wheel and the same blue box you expect of those 'finish setting up' prompts that you get after updates. Then vanished as usual.

Okay. Should I untick the boxes in settings first before using the reg edit, or is it fine to use the reg file without unticking the boxes? I had tried unticking the boxes in the past but it doesn't stop anything so I turned them back on in case a future update would correct it.

It sounds like you are following Option 1. I suggested Option 2 where you download and merge a .REG file which is not only easier but will overwrite any previous setting in the registry. Just follow Option 2.

If I ever get a computer that says Let's Finishing Setting Up Your Microsoft account ... I'll just load Linux and say goodbye to Windows.

I will NEVER have a Microsoft account.

I choose to stay in 2004 ( 20H1 ) where it is safe. My advice is just to download a copy of Windows, and install it another drive, or even do that thing where you could have multiple installations on the same drive. But make them use different folders.
